WHY A PHR WIKI?

This wiki has been established by the Kay Center for e-Health Research at Claremont Graduate University to provide a discussion and collaboration environment for researchers and practitioners who are working on Personal Health Records (PHR) and related Electronic Health Record (EHR) Systems. Its aim is four-fold: 1) general comments and discussion on PHR, especially research directions, 2) comments and discussion specifically geared to the CGU-QTC symposium, 3) input and sharing on your PHR research and activities, and 4) input on our PHR research and activities.

WHAT YOU CAN DO?

Provide Input on Taxonomy and Research/Policy Needs. A major discussion about PHR pertains to how its use may vary depending on the type of user. In the symposium, we discussed the need for a phr user taxonomy that explains these different uses. Could you please comment on the value, need, and dimensions of such a taxonomy, including any research, practice or policy recommendations?

Provide Input on Symposium Materials.  A variety of research and policy issues were raised during the symposium. You can comment on the Whitepaper that was prepared for the symposium, and/or the draft Symposium Summary that is currently in preparation.

Provide Input on Your PHR Research and Practice Activities. In addition to provided substantive input on the research and symposium issues, we would be very interested in compiling and sharing information about research and practice activities in the PHR area.  You can add Your PHR Related Research or activities here. Thanks!

Provide Input on Our User-Centric PHR Approach. We are very interested in hearing your comments and suggestions about our user-centric approach to PHR systems. We identified three high level user groups: Well, Unwell, and Disabled. Our goal is to identify PHR use-cases by these three major user groups.

(Please note: You can provide comments without logging in. However, you need to register in order to edit pages. For registration/editing instructions, see    How does a wiki work )
